I visited the ellen bass link at http://members.cruzio.com/~jjwebb and read one poem, then ran to make an emergency visit to a client.
I'll give it a thorough read this evening.
The artist for this piece is named Julian Grey. He works at Headgear Animation Studios - a Canadian outfit. You may contact him via his website at http://www.headgearanimation.com/
enjoyed those, carl. i must admit, though, that sometimes poetry read aloud seems stilted. or maybe it's billy collins, who is not necessary into sound devices? the young guy on the hobby horse, now, he....
Perfect timing. A friend who got the first link wanted more, as did I.
I noticed the comment from sarahj about the reading. Generally, I'm not much for taped poems, primarily because the reader can't enunciate well enough to be understood. I have to say that I could easily understand both readings by Billy Collins. I've also heard some nonvisual very creative readings that are super.
BTW, where did you find the second? I looked through the site and couldn't find a poetry listing for these, though I did enjoy a vid of a guy dancing in his messy apartment thoroughly as I searched:-)
See, now why isn't stuff like this in Cresent Moon?
Do you know this guy's email address?
Why don't you answer your email?

a.
Excellent! I have it saved to favs, too. What a creative video to accompany the reading!
Thanks, Arlene and Pris.
I'm constantly amazed at what you can find on the internet, if you only know where to look.

Sarah, nothing beats the boy on the shaken horse. Not even master billy.
Pris, I use the keyword "poem" on google video. This link brings up over 600 video poems from which to choose:

Have fun!
Hi Carl,
Thanks very much for posting these links. I always enjoy Billy Collins, with or without video, and that was pretty cool too.
Make poetry, not war, with the internet. What a remarkable search for video. I'll have to do it sometime.
Yours,
Rus
There's a ton of video poetry on YouTube, Rus. Most is dross, but there are a few gems.
The gems make it all worthwhile.
