Arlene, the camera used for these photos was an eos slr with a 70-300 lens (with a uv filter attached.)
I think it's more about the lens than the camera body... but that's coming from a guy who stinks at landscape photography. I'm far better at portraits.
Love the b/w of the bridge with the little girl, very nice texture and composition.
Thanks, Tammy. It's very kind of you to comment. I need all the composition tips I can get. The rule of thirds will only take you so far...
hey, these are fantastic. looks very pro. is it your camera or do i just suck taking pictures?

Nice photos. I don't know anything about photography, but I thought these were nice.
Thanks, Jenni.

these are so nice, Carl - and it's great to see where you live. wow! lucky you.
Thanks, Sarah.
That particular bridge was built in 1885. The old mill beneath is in ruins, but it makes for a lovely falls upstream of the shoals.
The children swim there all summer long.
Thanks, Jayne.
I'm wasting a lot of film to get a few good shots. Hopefully I'll improve.
